I’d recommend it to anyone building out a Transit. Unfortunately, this van has had more vertical miles than horizontal. This is what allowed me to spend 38,000 on a very gently used (3k miles) 2015 Transit 350 LWB Power Stroke diesel (bought in July of 2016). Overall this is a fantastic product that fills a big need. Ive about had it with this 3.2L diesel A bit of a rant. Including two sheet metal screws a bit longer than stock probably wouldn’t kill your bottom line.īut again, these are minor nitpicks. And last, the factory forward screws are so short that, after the bracket is installed, they barely catch- like less than one turn. Second, the template has the forward corners of the shelf left square, but it dug into the headliner so I rounded them off with a belt sander. Not a big deal, I have lots of fasteners around. Just a couple of quibbles: I must have been sent the Sprinter fastener package- I got 9 10-32 machine screws and nuts, and zero 1/4-20 screws. The parts are beautiful! No way I could have fabbed anything even close. We’re nearing the end of our build and I recently got the shelf made and installed- wow, is that some useful space! Great for window covers, the dog’s leash, a couple sweaters, whatever. Ford transit Template Med Long Med high Separate layer with solids for the body color, windows, headlights, wheels, etc. Learned about your product from a YouTube van tour, I forget whose, but I ordered the brackets right then and there. My son is converting a Promaster and I admit to being a little jealous of the overhead shelf in his van.
